AML is short for Anti-Money Laundering. AML stands for Money Laundering Policy and Legislation. This prevents illegally obtained funds from being converted into a legal variant. In the crypto world, it is no longer uncommon for exchanges and wallets to adopt AML techniques. This term is often used as AML/KYC, where KYC stands for know your customer.
