AKA stands for Asymmetric Key Algorithm. This is a cryptographic system that uses a "key pair" called the "public key" and the "private key". The public key is required by both parties to conduct a transaction. The private key is known only to the owner and serves as an authentication method to access the coins stored on the public address.
